Donald George ZieglerOn February 19, 2016 Donald George Ziegler traveled the path that we all one day must travel and that was to heaven. He was someone who loved the Lord and lived to give and show love to others.Don was born March 29, 1928 in Moline, Ill. He was preceded in death by parents Howard and Gertrude Ziegler, 2 brothers Robert and Joseph Ziegler, son-in-law Bill Wilmoth. Survived by his wife Mary Marcalene Pilgrim of Daingerfield and into the marriage he brought 3 wonderful children, daughters Mary Louise Wilmoth of Street, Md. and Debra Diane Durazzo of BelAire, Md.; son Mark Bradford Ziegler and his wife Gloria of Lawton, Ok.; his precious grandchildren Shawn, Benjamin, Mundae, Jerod, Nathaniel, Christian, Danielle and Anthony; 17 great grandchildren; sisters Shirley Lundquest of Peoria, Ill. And Joyce Kaecker of Dixon, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews.Donald served 20 years for our country in the Army where he was highly recognized with many certificates and Metal of Honor. He was recognized by President Harry Truman for serving his country so faithfully. His internment will be at Hartford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, Maryland.A memorial service celebrating and honoring his life will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Bro. David Kizer officiating.Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. preceding the service.
