Daingerfield-Funeral services for Frances Bennie Stephens, 91 of Daingerfield will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Dan Gilliam officiating. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery. Bennie was born on August 26, 1927 in Daingerfield to Benjamin and Frances Starrett. She died on April 23, 2019 in Hughes Springs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a 50 yr. member of the Eastern Star and served as past matron from 2002-2003.Preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Steve Stephens, son Danny Covin, brothers J.T., Joe, Carl, & Bobby Starrett, and sister Mable Russell. Survived by daughter-in-law Diana Covin of Garden Grove, CA; grandchildren Michelle Hvitved and husband Kevin of Snohomish, WA; Michael Covin and wife Lisa of Riverside, CA; great-grandchildren Cheyenne Hvitved, Kacey Hvitved, Hanna Hvitved, Parker Covin, Nixon Covin; step-son Travis Covin of Longview; sister-in-law Martha Starrett of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Church.
