Services for John Gaylon McGill, Sr., 87, of Daingerfield will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Daingerfield with Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial will be in Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.He was born on April 10, 1931 in Clardy, TX to Pat and Sammie McGill. He died on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.Gaylon was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He worked as office manager for the Ford Dealership for 50 years and had been retired for 15 years.He was preceded in death by his parents; son Tracey "Tex" McGill; siblings Juanita McGill, Glenn McGill, Virginia Damron, Larry McGill, Wanda Cavender and Clara Joy McGill.Gaylon is survived by his wife Maxine Kennedy McGill of Daingerfield; son Johnny and wife Claudia McGill of Daingerfield; son Kenny and wife Amron McGill of Lone Star; son Jeffrey McGill of Daingerfield; grandchildren Brent McGill of Dallas; Brian and wife Tera McGill of Fairhope, AL; Jennifer and husband Jamey Tankersley of Bells, TN; Marcie McGill of Fort Worth; Brad McGill of Jenkins; and Brandon McGill of Daingerfield; sisters Joyce Pennington of San Antonio; Patsy Hulett of Lubbock; brother David McGill of Mesquite; great grandchildren Addison, Ella, Conley and Hayes McGill; and James Tankersley.Family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com.
