    Patricia Ann Jacobs

    April 25, 1943 - April 26, 2021

Patricia Ann "Pat" Turner Jacobs, age 77 of Daingerfield, Texas passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 with her family by her side. She left her earthly home the way she lived life, with a tender and kind spirit. She was born to the late Levi Seymore Turner and Noble Fay "Sue" Turner, April 25, 1943 in Garland, Texas, where her father was serving in the Air Force. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Turner; sister-in-law, Pat Turner, and a brother-in-law, Larry Glynn Jacobs. She is survived by her husband and friend of 59 ½ years, Donald Gene Jacobs of Daingerfield, Texas; son, Todd Lane Jacobs of Daingerfield, Texas; grandson, Christopher Lane (CJ) Jacobs of Aubrey, Texas; step-granddaughter, Tiffany Holloway Davis of Austin, Texas; step-grand daughter Brittany Holloway Hessman and husband Will of Indianapolis; step-great-granddaughter Tori Davis of Austin, Texas; sister Vicki Turner Beasley and husband Roy of Daingerfield, Texas; sister-in-law Patsy Jacobs Wilson and husband Jimmy of Hughes Springs, Texas; sister-in-law Phyllis Jacobs of Linden, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews.Pat graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1961 and was always proud to be a Daingerfield Tiger. After graduation, she could not wait to marry her love, Gene, on December 31, 1961. They lived in Garland, Texas for a period of time before returning to Daingerfield, Texas to be near family. Pat, who walked hand in hand with her husband no matter where the journey led, assisted him in their business adventures, from Ranching; Printing Business, and Real Estate, while working as a homemaker. She was an accomplished gardener, and had a green thumb as proof. She shared her love of plants and vegetables with anyone who wanted a new plant in their yard or fresh vegetables on the table. She leaves behind a beautiful garden and beautiful memories for her family to always love. From the garden to canning she made the best jelly, which was loved by everyone who received a taste as a Christmas Gift. If anyone said, "Let's go fishing" she was set on go. If you were invited to fish with Pat you need to bring your "A" game and be ready to spend the day. She believed in catching the fish, you clean, and then she would cook. Her son learned one day, that although his mother was soft spoken, you should never test her by falling on the floor and throwing a fit or she would throw a glass of water in your face, turn around and walk off. The end result was never to do that again. Her pride and joy were her family, and the many friends that she made during her journey on earth. She was a devoted wife and loved being a mother and grandmother. Being the Big Sister, she watched over her brother until his death, and shared in her sister's life until her failing health deprived her of the strength to continue being the Big Sister. Although mother had many cancer surgeries during her life, she continued to feel that she had a blessed life. May all of us be inspired by how she lived, and the strength she had to endure all of the challenges in her life. The family wishes to offer sincere thanks and gratitude to all the Staff at HeartsWay Hospice, for the care and compassion that was shown to mother and the family in their time of need.Graveside service for Patricia Ann (Turner) Jacobs, 77, of Daingerfield, Texas will be 10 A.M. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Daingerfield Cemetery in Daingerfield, Texas, with only family in attendance. Pastor Joel Beasley will be officiating.
