Sheila Mae Waddill

Sheila Mae Waddill, 67 of Mt. Pleasant was born on December 20, 1952 in Deport, Tx. to E. J. and Evelyn Hall. She was the 7th child born out of 12. Sheila attended Paul Pewitt High School and lived in Naples. In May of 1970 she met Truitt. It was a whirlwind romance and on August 26, 1970 they married at First Methodist Church in New Boston. After Truitt returned home from Vietnam they had their first child on September 13, 1972, Sharon Rena Waddill. Then on May 16, 1977 their second child, Christopher Truitt Waddill was born. In the early 1980's, Sheila went to cosmetology school. She worked at Pro Cuts in Mt. Pleasant. After moving from Daingerfield to Mt. Pleasant, she started reading meters for Bowie Cass Electric and continued doing so until 2000.Her wish was to be a grandmother. She got her wish with three grandsons, Colton, Ashten and Gunner and one granddaughter, Maylee. She loved them with her whole heart and they loved her. She loved playing softball and spending time with her family, friends and going to the beach. On January 21st she dedicated her life to Christ sitting in her living room. After professing her love for Christ, her grandson Ashten dedicated his life to Christ. On January 26, 2020 Sheila, Colton and Ashten were baptized together. She was a member of Malta First Baptist Church.Sheila knew where she would spend eternity and never faltered in her trust and belief in Jesus.At 11:30 a.m. on April 12, 2020 Sheila left this world and was guided home to enter those pearly gates. On Easter morning Jesus Christ carried her home.We love and will miss Sheila, Grana or young'n (whatever) you call her, but I know she's looking down on us telling us she's ok-because he has Risen!Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eddie Hall and Carl Hall, nephew Tracy Hall.Survived by her husband James "Truitt" Waddill of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Sharon Lowery and husband Brian of Hughes Springs; son Chris Waddill and wife Nichole of Texarkana; grandsons Colton and Gunner Lowery of Hughes Springs, Ashten Waddill of Texarkana; granddaughter Maylee Waddill of Texarkana; sisters Barbara Lawarance of Redwater, Gayle (Sue) Thomas and husband Mike of Hughes Springs, Phyllis (Mick) Shumaker of Hughes Springs, Brenda Hayes and husband Larry of Yantis, Ann Hooper and husband Richard of Omaha, Teresa Isham and husband Dennis of Cason; brothers John Hall of Daingerfield, Gary (Sonny) Hall and wife Rhonda of Waco, David Hall and wife Mary of Daingerfield; many nieces, nephews and cousins.Considering current restrictions on gatherings, a private graveside service will be held for Sheila.
